Capo Vaticano, Vibo Valentia, Calabria

Capo Vaticano is located in the municipality of Ricadi in the province of Vibo Valentia. It is a stones-throw away from Tropea and because of that, we decided to make a stopover before heading back to Carpanzano. Capo Vaticano is literally breathtaking with its soaring vertical cliffs shooting up from the gorgeous blue waters below. There is a panoramic walk that takes you along the top of these cliffs and offers some pretty incredible views.

Capo Vaticano

As you make your way along the percorso panoramico you can’t help but look down the vast cliffs at the beautiful waters and the secluded beaches below. Many of these tucked away sandy beaches are only accessible by boat.

Capo Vaticano

There is no escaping the absolutely exquisite panorama surrounding you. Here you’ve got the gorgeous Calabrian coastline, the waves crashing against the rocks, the deep blue Tyrrhenian Sea.

Capo Vaticano

If you ever make your way to Tropea, definitely leave yourself some time to see Capo Vaticano for yourself.

The new Cinque Terre? The cliffs, sea and beaches are gorgeous!

The pictures could never do this place justice. It is incredible.

I went to Tropea in my youth (many years ago!)
but I missed this part unfortunately. Next trip!

I was so tired when we left Tropea that I was ready to just go home but I’m so glad that my cousins decided to go anyways. It was an experience I’m glad I didn’t miss out on.
