Fashion Friday: Pashmina

One of my favorite fashion accessories of late would have to be the “Pashmina“.

Their versatility, assortment of colours, and various styles have made them quite popular and you can pretty much find them just about anywhere.

The term Pashmina actually refers to a type of cashmere wool that comes from a special breed of goat found in the Himalayas.  The Pashmina wool was hand spun to create woolen shawls, which have been around for a very long time.  Now, with it’s increase in popularity in the Western world, the  term Pashmina is used when refering to these scarves/shawls.

And, with it’s growing popularity, everyone has basically jumped onboard and created their version of the “Pashmina” which could be made of wool, cotton, or other various textiles.  Real deal or not, these fashion accessories are great and functional.

Check out this video to see a couple ways you can rock your pashmina, scarf, shawl, or whatever you want to call it…
