Fashion Friday: Pashmina

One of my favorite fashion accessories of late would have to be the “Pashmina“.

Their versatility, assortment of colours, and various styles have made them quite popular and you can pretty much find them just about anywhere.

The term Pashmina actually refers to a type of cashmere wool that comes from a special breed of goat found in the Himalayas.  The Pashmina wool was handspun to create woolen shawls, which have been around for a very long time.  Now, with its increase in popularity in the Western world, the term Pashmina is used when referring to these scarves/shawls.

And, with it’s growing popularity, everyone has basically jumped on board and created their version of the “Pashmina” which could be made of wool, cotton, or other various textiles.  Real deal or not, these fashion accessories are great and functional.
