Instagrammers in Calabria You Need To Follow

Instagram virtually transports you all over the world, even Calabria. I follow some really cool Instagrammers in Calabria that continue to remind me why I love this spectacular region of Southern Italy so much!

Instagram has evolved and changed quite a bit since my post “7 Instagram Accounts You Should Follow If You Love Calabria“.  With the introduction and popularity of Instagram Stories, you not only get to admire gorgeous people and places, but you can also get a glimpse into their daily lives. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll notice I share tons of pictures, quotes and even videos in both Italian and English.

Not following me on Instagram? No worries, head on over to my profile, hit that follow button and send me a message to say hello! 🙂

What I’ve always loved about Instagram is the fact that I can share pictures of this beautiful and often overlooked region of Southern Italy…Calabria!  But, Instagram is also a great way to discover new places. For example, I discovered the Stone Giants of Campana thanks to a photo I stumbled upon on Instagram.

Over the years, Instagram has become a great way for me to network and meet really interesting people throughout Calabria. There are so many exceptional Instagrammers in Calabria, and I want to share some of them with you all.

So, if you love Calabria as much as I do, then you need to check out these Instagrammers in Calabria:

Francesco Furci – @cicciofurci

Although we haven’t met in person (…yet!), Francesco’s passion for Calabria and adventurous spirit instantly captured my attention. One of the things I love most about social media is the endless oppourtunity it gives us to connect to people and discover their unique and individual story. Francesco, like many Calabrians, found work that took him away from his beloved Calabria. However, any time he returned to Calabria, there was no resisting the strong desire to head into the mountains and reconnect with the rugged nature of his territory. It didn’t take him long to realize that his true calling, the one that spoke to his heart, was in Calabria, in its impressive mountains, lush forests, hidden waterfalls, and ancient hamlets.

Francesco takes you along on his adventures showing you Calabria from such a unique point of view. Through his photos and videos, you’ll discover so many new and interesting places that you never even knew existed. If you want to check out some of the many intriguing places Calabria has to offer, you definitely need to follow him!

Luigina – Marketing Calabria – @pennainviaggio

Instagrammers in Calabria

A passion for the natural beauty that makes Calabria so very special, Luigina La Rizza is a woman I admire tremendously. She shares this strong passion for Calabria, through her blog, Penna in Viaggio and her Instagram. Since she is based in Soverato, you’ll often find her sharing some incredible images of the Ionian seaside. She’s also an avid hiker and enjoys spending time immersed in the beautiful mountain regions of Calabria. As a matter of fact, it’s thanks to her that I was able to discover the impressive beauty of the Aspromonte mountains.

I’ve been following Luigina for a while and have seen her evolve and do amazing things that promote Calabria. Along with her informative blog, she has also written a tour guide, “La Mia Calabria. Viaggio no stop nel profondo Sud.” And if that’s not enough, she is also an SEO and Web Marketing consultant with a focus on tourism in Calabria.

Aneta Ozonek | Fotografo – @hello.calabria

Instagrammers in Calabria

Certain experiences open you up to new friendships with inspiring and incredible people. I was so fortunate to meet Aneta in person during our weekend in Aspromonte. Her energy is so contagious and she’s such a pleasure to be around. She is the owner of Hello Calabria, the only blog about Calabria written in Polish. Along with her love of nature, she has a passion for photography. Her incredible creativity can be seen on her Instagram feed!

She dives into Calabrian culture and shares some of the region’s most attractive hamlets. She has an incredible ability to capture authentic moments as well as the raw beauty of the places she visits. I’m looking forward to getting together with her when the weather gets warmer so she can take me around her hometown of Amantea!

Igers Cosenza – @igerscosenza

Instagrammers in Calabria

IgersCosenza is part of a bigger network known as IgersItalia. The network is divided up into the different regions and provinces throughout Italy. This particular account focuses on the province of Cosenza. They collect images that use their hashtag #igerscosenza and feature their favourites on their feed. And, guess what? They’ve chosen a Calabrisella Mia photo to share with their followers. Grazie Mille, IgersCosenza! Check out the photo they selected from my trip to Diamante, and don’t forget to give it a like while you are there! What’s great about community profiles, is that you can discover unique places as well as new people to follow!
